Temple Poetry MFA Thesis Reading: Brendan Allen and Alexa Smith, with Devric Kiyota and Grace Stevens Phillips

May 8 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Saturday, May 8th @ 7:00PM EST via Zoom
Join graduating Temple MFA poets Brendan Allen and Alexa Smith as they read from their thesis projects, along with rising second-year poets Devric Kiyota and Grace Stevens Phillips.
DEVRIC KIYOTA is an editor who will have long hair; they live in Philadelphia.
GRACE STEVENS PHILLIPS is a writer from Montana who recently moved to Philadelphia for Temple’s MFA program.
BRENDAN ALLEN studies poetry and teaches writing. In addition to wrapping up his MFA, he’s the lead (and only) surveyor for PhiladelphiaParkSystem.com and the developer of CentoQuest, a choose-your-own-adventure, poem-generating video game (https://bibliomancer.itch.io/centoquest). You can find some of his poems in DIAGRAM, BAG, Prolit, Landlocked, and Voicemail Poems.
ALEXA SMITH is a poet and essayist from Washington DC. She lives in Philadelphia with two cats who may or may not appear on this Zoom call. She is pretty sure she has an MFA from Temple University now. She works in publishing and serves as Editorial Director of Apiary Magazine (apiarymagazine.com). Her writing can be found online in Entropy, Interim, Memoir Mixtapes, Peach Mag, and Dark Wood.
