E. Annie Proulx sets stories in the plains of Wyoming. Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche locates some of her work in Nigerian gardens in summertime. Where and when you set your story–what time of year, what geographical location, what century—provides you with opportunities to develop your story with more resonance. We’ll do weekly short story reading and writing assignments and offer feedback to one another in a workshop environment.
